Music
"Singing is Praying Twice."
Music enhances the Liturgy Mass Celebration of the Roman Catholic Faith. The Catholics are basically traditional and follow the Mass Liturgy very strictly. All songs are based on the Liturgical Season. The Organist, Pianist, Singers, Cantors sing the Responsorial Psalms, Acclamation, Entrances, Offertory, Communion, and Final Songs based upon the Liturgy of the Mass.
St. Mary Help of Christians Church have multiples liturgies on most Sundays of the year. Then, in many cases, the entire parish community comes together for one liturgy on holy days such as as Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Vigil. These Trilingual Celebrations are wonderful opportunity for the various cultural groups of the parish to worship as one.
Our Parish is equipped with three Liturgical Languages: English, Italian, and the Spanish. These groups sing into their own traditional style. Each has an expressive way to enhance and beautify the Liturgical Mass Celebrations.
In our worship today, we strive for both a singing assembly and for appropriate choral and instrumental music. In addition, we are happy to welcome other choir, performers, and listeners to help assist us in our Liturgical Mass.

Dear Parents and Children
Welcome!
The Summer Music Camp is the project of young artist, Angela Lacuesta, approved and supported by me, Fr. Brando Ibarra, Pastor of St Mary Help of Christians Church and its committee and staff.
Angela has been trained Concert Pianist since grade 1 and was discovered by the MTA and awarded the best Solo Performer and Composer for Young Artist in 2009. She was a consistent scholar of the Corollo Foundation thru NJPAC (New Jersey Performing Arts Center). She was invited to different places in United States to entertain and to play solo piano. She was trained singer since she was in her grade school up to present where her father, Nino, played the good role in nurturing his daughter, Angela, to her musicianship
Now that she is pursuing her career in Music, she wants to share what God has given her a gift to children who want to sing and play music for the Glory of God.
Since Summer Music Camp is the first of its kind in St Mary Help of Christians Church, Angela back to back with her father will work hard for the enrichment of the children's' Faith and to be much, much closer to our Lord through Music and Songs.

ALAY AWIT CHORALE
The Alay Awit Chorale is the official Singing Group that will sing and lead the congregation during this forthcoming Thanksgiving Day Mass Celebration on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at 9:00 AM. As the group has done commitments in various churches, St Mary's has been a place of Service to them giving their precious time, moments, and talents Thanking and Singing each year all for the Glory of God.
Alay Awit Chorale is the Official Filipino Chorale Group in the Tri-State Area (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, USA).
